A Grand Finale including music & storytelling from participants as well as a very special guest…
Join brilliant Mincéir author & storyteller Oein DeBhairduin who won the Eilís Dillon Award for his beautiful retelling of Traveller folktales in Why The Moon Travels. This is a special chance to hear some of these tales that have been passed down orally from generation to generation being retold by a gifted storyteller in the beautiful outdoor amphitheatre. Oein will be joined by Jake Quinn on the drums.
The Shaking Bog - in partnership with our friends at Fighting Words - presents a special programme of workshops for children of all ages that interweaves art and nature through creative expression and imagination. Special guest artists and nature experts will offer a broad palette of participatory opportunities.
Whether you like composing music, crafts, writing or graphic fiction, critters, carpentry, drumming and storytelling - there will be something for you! If you fancy making a morning out of it, you can join more than one workshop before you join in with the final celebration.
(NB. Please note that booking is essential for all events. Please come in suitable footwear and be prepared for all weathers.)
