“The most imaginative and fascinating musician in all of trad”
Earle Hitchner, Irish Echo
It is generally agreed that Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh is one of Ireland’s absolute best musicians and he is coming to close the 2024 festival with a solo concert in the intimate setting of St Patrick’s Church in Enniskerry Village.
Playing a twelve string fiddle called the 'hardanger d’amore’ Caoimhín has travelled the world as both a solo musician as well as in duos with Dan Trueman, Mick O'Brien and Brendan Begley and bands such as The Gloaming and This Is How We Fly. He has toured to some of the most beautiful stages in the world, including the Sydney Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall, as well as more intimate venues.
Caoimhín has released seventeen critically acclaimed recordings ranging from traditional to more experimental.
