The Secret Life of Trees is a full day workshop with landscape artist Lelia Henry, which takes a closer look at the trees that surround us. Using the versatile medium of charcoal, we will explore various elements of trees through a series of exercises, mark making and gesture drawing.
Some basic materials will be provided, and participants are welcome to bring along their own materials.
Participants will also be encouraged to bring along some source materials such as branches, leaves etc, from trees in their own neighbourhoods, to work from. The workshop offers a meeting point between exploring the medium of charcoal, and engaging with the environment. It is suitable for all levels, with each participant working to their own ability.
